The CFD Lab at UCLA

The Computational Fluid Dynamics Laboratory (CFD Lab) in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) Department at UCLA is a laboratory equipped with several medium size Beowulf Linux clusters for performing numerical simulation of transitional, turbulent, high speed compressible flows, with and without reaction, as well as the sound that they produce. The CFD Lab also has access to supercomputers (large clusters of parallel processors on various platforms) at NSF PACI Centers and DoD High-Performance Computing Centers for performing large-scale computation. The CFD Lab is shared by researchers supervised by Professors Jeff Eldredge, Ann Karagozian, John Kim, and Xiaolin Zhong.
